1st Qualifying Pass at Phoenix Divisional

The first pass went ok. They got down the track 6.73 at 202. That puts them 11 out of 27. They think they can improve on it and the track should get better and better. Hopefully they can run a little quicker in the next round at 4:30.

Made it to sunday!!!!!

Third qualifying pass didn't go so well. So they ended up 19 and had to race number 4 qualifier. Dad cut a little better light and hedlund lifted at the other end and they won first round. They ran 6.70 at 205 and change. So they took 5 in cic for the next round. They are still in and that is all that matters.

Qualifying in Phoenix

Well the .987 60 foot setup didn't work in Phoenix. First qualifying pass went horrible. But they calmed it down for the second pass and run a 6.72 at 201. So that puts them in the 14 spot, if they can pick up 3 to 5 hundredths they will be in the perfect spot. Dad has cut good lights and seems to be on his game. They only had a 1.04 60 foot time so there is 5 hundredths just in the 60. This could be another awesome weekend in Phoenix. I'll post again tomorrow.

Phoenix National Event

For anyone reading this my wife was diagnosed with cancer. That is why the rush team missed Pomona. But even though I am home helping my wife through chemotherapy. The team got old time friend and racer Tony Wro to come and help them while I am down. So Dad headed out today on his way to Phoenix. So I should be able to up date the blog pretty fast. First qualifying pass is on Friday.

Speedworld Test Session

Tonight we are sleeping in the truck at the Las Vegas race track on our way home from Arizona. I would say that the speedworld test session was a success. We posted the fastest 60 foot times of our racing career with a .981 being the best. Tested two new sets of tires. We worked through a few bugs that would have cost us rounds at a race. Dad got 11 hits in the car and at the light. So I would say we are ready to go to Pomona. We all feel confident that we will be able to run well into the 6.60's.

I am excited to get back to my family. As always Dad has his list going so I am sure we will be busy the next week getting ready to go kick some Butt in Pomona.

Hello

Hello my name is Brian. I am a part of The Rush racing team. We are a father and two sons (I am one of the sons) that follow the NHRA Drag racing circuit across the U.S. So I am going to update this blog to let all of our "fans" mostly family, have an inside view of how each race goes. We leave today headed to Arizona to test for the upcoming season, which starts Feb. 6th-8th at the Winternationals in Pomona, California. More to come soon.............
